Maggie was the first bulldog to join our family in January 2000, and there began our love & devotion to the breed. We knew very little about choosing a bulldog, but over the years we have learned about the importance of 'doing your homework'.Through ACL surgery, eye surgery, etc. she was still going strong @ 10 years old. From the moment she arrived, she captured the hearts of the entire family.
We decided to try our hand at showing, and purchased our first show bulldog (Rocky) in April 2006. He was 9 weeks old & barely made the weight requirement for the plane ride from South Carolina to Colorado. Five months later, a beautiful little pure white Charmin came into our lives, (Rocky's half sister) and it was love at first sight, not just for us, but for Rocky, as well. We renamed her Tilly (Lady Chantilly Lace)
We began showing Rocky @ 6 months old, and was overjoyed when we finished him in March 2008 @ 2 years old. CH Conley's Rocky Mountain High (Rocky) He earned his final point on my Mom's birthday @ Scottsbluff KC show, which made it an extra special memory for me. She didn't have the opportunity to meet any of our bulldogs before we lost her, but I know she would have loved them as much as we do.
By the time we finished Rocky, we were already in the process of showing Tilly, who was doing very well in the ring, as was our second new male,Trooper. He finished very quickly in May 2008, at 13 months old, and is now a Grand Champion. GCh Conley's Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (Trooper).Tilly finished in Montana on June 20th, 2009, with back to back 5-point majors, Best of Opposite & Best of Winners. CH Lady Chantilly Lace of Conley (Tilly). She was a new Mom to a 6 month old litter of puppies at the time (first litter) when she finished. Tilly was our 3rd champion in three years of showing. It was the most amazing feeling for me to have shared this moment with her. Tilly is the love of my life, (my angel) and has earned the title I feel she so rightfully deserves. She showed her heart out for me, and has blessed us with beautiful babies to carry on for her. We have been especially blessed with great bulldog friends with whom we share our passion and our love for this incredible breed.
Now it is the beginning of a new show season for 2011, and the awesome story continues with our first Bred By Champion, CH RedRocks Lucy In A Sky Of Diamonds (Lucy) a Tilly & Trooper daughter, finished in February 2011. Our new young male Bred By Champion, CH RedRocks Chip Off The Old 'Rock' (Chip), finished in November 2011 @ 15 months old (Chip is a Rocky & Bootsie son).
We kicked off our 2012 show season with another RedRocks 'home grown' champion..CH RedRocks Dreamboat Annie, (Annie) a Tilly & Trooper daughter, who earned her final point @ Garden City KC show in March.
We are so looking forward to this year with Annie's littermate sister, CiCi, very close to finishing, as well as another littermate, Louie, only a couple of points away. That would make (5) Bred By champions for RedRock Bulldogs & for Tilly & Trooper, and our 7th overall in (6) years of showing/breeding. We have been blessed!
